Joshua is 19 years old and has battled kidney disease since the age of 9, in July of this year, he went into ESRD (end stage renal disease) and is in need of a kidney transplant.

When Joshua turned 19, he was kicked off of his parents health insurance and with his pre-existing medical condition, private insurance was not an option. Even though he has now qualified for Medicare & Medicaid, it did not go into effect till August, which leaves the family with almost $25,000 in uncovered medical expenses.

There are also other non-medical financial issues as well since Joshua is no longer able to work.  He also has travel expences to go to and from dialysis, 3 times a week, which is a 50 mile commute for him, he is also on a special diet, so groceries are also an issue.

We have tried a couple of different fund raisers in our own community, however we are a extremely small town with a high poverty rate and with the economy like it is, we have only been able to raise around $2500, which is greatly appreciated, however, it is only a drop in the bucket, for what is needed.

Anything that you can do for Joshua would be greatly appreciated.
