How Does It Work?

GiveForward was created so that anyone can be a Fundraiser, a Donor, or both! Fundraisers raise money for projects that they care about while Donors contribute online and receive exciting project updates. Together, we create a community of changemakers.

For Fundraisers

1. Getting Started

Create a personal fundraising page. Include information about your project and your upcoming events. Customize your page with photos, videos, events, and more!

2. Give Forward

Giving before you receive is definitely good karma. Give $1 to the three projects on GiveForward.org that you care about most. Then give your own project $1.

3. Spread The Word

Promote your fundraising page by emailing the link to your friends and family. If you're part of a social network like Facebook, LinkedIn or MySpace, include your link there, too, to increase your exposure!

4. Expanding Your Potential

By leveraging the generosity of your personal network online, you expand your donor base, making it possible for people all over the world to contribute to your fundraising effort.

5. Give Back

Send your supporters periodic email updates to let them know how your project is progressing. Once your project has reached completion fill out the Final Giving Report, explaining to your supporters how their dollars were spent and how they helped change someone's world.

Donors

1. Getting Started

Browse our Featured Projects and Projects Near Funding or search for a project by subject category, city, name of the event, or name of the organizer.  You can also use the Give5 feature to stumble upon projects you might never have found otherwise.

2. Giving Forward

Make a quick, safe and secure credit card donation to as many projects as you care about.

3. Get Back

Receive a Final Giving Report and Project Updates from fundraisers to learn about how your donation helped change someone's world

4. Give again.

Spread the word about your favorite projects to help them raise as much money as possible!
