Who doesn’t love driving into the city with the beautiful skyline in front of you and the tree lined highways on each side of you? Or spending time in one of Chicago’s many parks? We all do and Chicago Gateway Green makes this scenery possible.
Who doesn’t love driving into the city with the beautiful skyline in front of you and the tree lined highways on each side of you? Or spending time in one of Chicago’s many parks? We all do and Chicago Gateway Green makes this scenery possible by funding “tree planting” projects throughout the city and surrounding areas.
Most of you see the results when you are in and around the city or in picturesque photos.
To date Chicago Gateway Green is responsible for:
• Planting 77,000 shrubs
• Planting 3,000 trees
• Planting 71,000 perennials
• Removing 495,000 lbs of litter
Together we can help to double and triple those numbers, by donating to their organization.
How?
Simply donate $5.00 of more and Support me in “running for a reason.” On September 13th I will be running in the Chicago Half Marathon and 5k to support this worthy organization that will help keep Chicago green for generations to come. Just think if we all donate $5.00, collectively we can make a big difference to plant some big trees!
