If you are here, you most likely already are familiar with Jim Underwood. To most, he is simply one of the best guys you could ever know. He is loving, funny and brilliant and he always puts others before himself. He loves God, his family, the Packers and good cheese.
For us, Jim's friends, he is the guy that we all gravitate towards. The guy who leads without trying. The one that we look to for advice and wisdom. He is a man after Christ's own heart.
For his family, Jim is a devoted husband and passionate father. Most recently, he set aside his career to provide his children with an educational foundation that few have to opportunity to receive.
He is like that, always placing those around him before himself.
Well, on Nov 23rd, Jim was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, the deadliness form of brain cancer. To receive the best possible treatment, it has been decided that Jim will be treated away from his home at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. It is a difficult decision to be separated from his family during the biggest challenge of his life, but for their sakes he is fighting to beat this.
The entire situation is rife with costs and, in addition to the treatment expense, the Underwood family must now maintain two households in order for Jim to receive the care he needs. They have not asked for help, but we are hoping that the many people that have been positively affected by the Underwood family would be able to provide them some help now.
Of course any and all assistance is appreciated, but most importantly, please pray for Jim to be healed. Please also be praying for Jim's wife Jeanne and their three young children Sam (7), Josh (4) and Sarah (2).
Thank you and God Bless!
